Description
Still red Sangiovese Superiore Pandolfo Riserva, 14% ABV, produced by Pandolfa in Emilia-Romagna. 100% Sangiovese, 2021 vintage. A wine that tells the story of Pandolfa, with roots deep in the past. Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aged for 18 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and at least 8 months in bottle. Complex aroma profile, with notes of black cherry jam, currant, dried red flowers, autumnal undergrowth, iron, followed by vanilla, cocoa, and a hint of licorice. Intense ruby color with garnet highlights. On the palate, it is warm and full-bodied, with well-conducted tannins and excellent acidity.
