WINEMAKER NOTES Malbec is less tannic than Cabernet, but more so than Merlot, giving it a powerful structure but smooth mouthfeel. Having produced this varietal for quite a few years now, weve perfected our cultivation and winemaking methods, so you get a wine of amazing character and purity. Malbec exudes dark, rich fruit flavors and a unique mineral note that is quite distinct. 2012 was an excellent vintage across California because of steady, mild temperatures that persisted throughout summer.
