Pretty much the essence of easy drinking, crowd-pleasing, party wine here – although if you’re the only guest at the “party,” it’ll work then, too. It’s 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from France’s deep south Languedoc region, right between Nimes and Montpellier. The combination of ample sunshine and summer heat moderated by cooling breezes from the nearby sea are prefect for friendly, all-purpose, Cabernet. Shows attractive aromas and flavors of black currant, dark cherry, a whiff of fresh herb, a dusting of cocoa powder and a nice dash of sweet spice. There’s enough structure for good food, but finishes smoothly enough for cheerful sipping. Great value, too!
