Description
Spiced pear mixed with candied lemon rind, wildflowers and fresh honey all swirl in concert in the glass. Each sniff brings out a new element from the wine: fruit, mineral and flower. The palate is full in body with a texture that will make you keep coming back and rue the moment the glass is finished, capped with apricot and a salty minerality.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM

“A clean, mineral-driven white, offering lemon, peach, salt and floral flavors. Focused by vibrant acidity, this leaves a long, mouthwatering aftertaste that echoes its citrus and salty notes. Drink now through 2030.” — Bruce Sanderson, 09/2024

“The medium yellow 2022 Timorasso Derthona has freshness and extract on the nose, with savory notes of lemon oils, pineapple rind, and lime leaf, and it’s delicately resinous with pine. Medium-bodied and ripe, with a compact feel, it has persistent fresh acidity, with notes of salty lemon candies through its long finish. It’s long on the palate and has some real aging potential over the coming 10-12 years. (Drink between 2024-2036)” — Audrey Frick, 05/2024

“Rich and inviting, this Derthona opens with aromas of roasted stone fruit, apricot preserves, and a drizzle of honey, all framed by delicate white and yellow flowers. At first sip the wine envelops the palate with a rich and unctuous feeling, but it’s quickly washed away by a wave of freshness. Peach skin and a lemon-lime flavors sparkle on the finish, leaving the mouth watering and craving another sip.” — Jeff Porter, 10/2024
