A 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from proprietors Bill Foley and Carol Johnson’s small estate in Rutherford. Super stylish, elegant, and poised with wonderfully pure layers of blackberry and black cherry fruits with red currants and rich vanilla-tobacco-laced oak spices. Full-bodied with superfine tannins, loads of graphite minerality, cassis, and a lovely earthen finish. Drinking Window 2024-2034.
Wine Tasting Notes
Foley Johnson Rutherford Cabernet is a wonderful expression of the classic Bordeaux varietal. The nose exhibits aromas of blackberry, raspberry, caramelized sugar, barrel spice and a hint of tobacco leaf. These aromas carry through to the palate, with additional notes of dusty cocoa, vanilla, and dried sage. Firm yet smooth tannins are present on the lingering finish.
