The 2021 Chardonnay opens with pleasant, smoky reductive tones and quickly reveals pure scents of hazelnuts, beeswax and orange blossom. The light-bodied palate balances concentrated, honey-nut flavors with taut acidity, and it has a long, latent finish. I suspect it will have more to offer with 3-5 years of bottle maturation.

Yellow apple, lemon and sage butter aromas are punctuated by a salty/tangy note that will make you crave salt and vinegar potato chips. The palate is a nice blend of tart grapefruit and sweet, ripe peach flavors. There’s a little body here, with decent enough acidity. This might pair nicely with baked mac & cheese.
