Description
medium ruby in color; the bouquet smells savory with aromatics of licorice, dark raspberry, white pepper, root beer and ripe Santa Rosa plum that has been lying on the ground for several days in the summer. We know this latter aromatic because in our youth, we used to eat them from the ground after they dropped from our parents tree in mid summer. On the palate there are flavors of dark raspberry, cherry cola, sarsaparilla, root beer, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish lingers with lightly gravelly textured tannins which fully coat the palate and continue to persist beyond the fruit. Soft acidity.
