Description
Still red Veronese IGT, 14.5% ABV, produced by Allegrini. 100% Corvina. 0.75 L bottle, 2019 vintage. A wine made on the La Poja estate, the upper parcel of the La Grola estate in Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella. It embodies the utmost finesse that the noble Veronese grape can offer in a treasure trove of richness, tension, and grit. Aged in new Allier barriques for 20 months, then aged for 8 months in large Slavonian barrels, and then bottle-aged for 10 months. Intense and extraordinarily fruity, with aromas ranging from ripe morello cherry to white pepper, enhanced by balsamic and iris nuances.
