Notes of blackberries, plums, dark cherries, stones and violets. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm tannins. Nice acidity adds tension and balance. Well-structured and flavorful with a long finish. Try after 2023.

The 2018 Terroir Selection Malbec blends grapes from their vineyards in different subzones of Mendoza, 68% of the grapes come from the Albaneve vineyard (Campo de los Andes, Valle de Uco), a little higher this year, 12% come from the Temis vineyard (El Cepillo, Valle de Uco), 10% from the Azamor vineyard (Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo) and 10% from the Alizarine vineyard (Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo), so more grapes from Valle de Uco than before. 2018 was a cooler vintage compared with 2017, and the higher percentage of grapes from Valle de Uco also helped to give the wine more freshness. It fermented in small concrete vats and matured in French oak barrels for 12 months, and the oak feels very integrated. It’s clean, fresh and balanced, with varietal and floral aromas, fine-grained tannins and ripe fruit without excess. It has more and more the Valle de Uco profile, especially in the floral notes on the nose. 90,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2020.
