Description
Prosecco Valdobbiadene Rive di Refrontolo Col del Forno Brut is one of the most representative wines of the
Andreola winery. This
DOCG label perfectly represents a region suited to viticulture, the hills of Valdobbiadene. Made, as strictly required by tradition, from
100% semi-aromatic Glera grapes, Prosecco Valdobbiadene Rive di Refrontolo Col del Forno Brut is a captivating sparkling wine, the fruit of a special soil. The area’s rolling hills, which rise at about 200 meters above sea level on the eastern side of the denomination, enjoy excellent temperature ranges and a unique microclimate, allowing the grapes to concentrate all their aromas. Thanks to the presence of
soils
predominantly clay and a percentage of
sandstone in the subsoil, the Rive del Refrontolo subzone is where the native Glera grape reaches perfect ripeness. This small denomination is synonymous with high quality within the larger Prosecco production area: this is why this Brut is an excellent product, a true rarity for enthusiasts of the genre. The
modified cappuccina training system, structured with a planting density that does not exceed 3,500 vines per single hectare, allows for the concentration of all the typical pear flavors that characterize this sparkling wine, but also and above all the unusual body for this type of wine. Thanks to patient work in the vineyard, these
varietal characteristics are preserved and
enhanced until harvest time, between September and October. As for the expert work in the cellar, it is clear that the
white vinification with soft pressing is aimed at preserving as much of the original character of these fragrant grapes as possible. After a sparkling process in large stainless steel vats using the
Charmat method, the aging phase can vary from one to three months, depending on the winemaker’s interpretation, finally giving life to the jewel that is Andreola’s Prosecco Valdobbiadene Rive di Refrontolo Col del Forno Brut.
