Description
This is very high-end Gruner with depth and richness and intensity that lacks only the price of the most famous wines in Austria. From perfectly ripe grapes grown in the famous Wagram Ried Rosenberg vineyard, this is fermented and aged in tank with a brief stay in large oak cask for roundness and depth. There’s a flinty, mineral, note to the crisp, just-picked, apple and pear fruit and amplifies Grüner’s subtle spice and white pepper accents. On the palate, the wine is vigorous and juicy with yellow citrus giving way to more ripe stone and orchard fruit flavors with air. The finish stays zesty and dry even as the fruit builds, with salty, flinty, minerality lingering nicely.
