Description
Wasabi is derived from a plant also know as horseradish, and is native to Japan. The root is ground into a paste to use as a flavor-foward condiment for sushi and other foods. Wasabi is more similar in taste to hot mustard or horseradish rather than chili peppers, as it stimulates the nose more than the tongue, but freshly grated wasabi has a subtly distinct flavor.
