Description
The Buitenverwachting estate has deep roots within the Constantia region of the Western Cape. Changing hands multiple times since 1773 and seeing its first vines planted in 1825, the one consistent element has been their acres of Sauvignon Blanc vines grown in an excellent terroir, primed for making bright and fresh wines. Their ‘Beyond’ Sauvignon Blanc is an ode to their namesake meaning ‘beyond expectation’ alluding to the tumultuous history of the estate’s ownership. The wine, however is anything but complicated. Classic, crisp, grassy, grapefruit-driven, and ultimately refreshing.
