Cabernet Sauvignon 70% and Cabernet Franc 30%, Bordeaux style blend Aged for 18 months in French oak barriques Located in the foothills of the Andes foothills, Maipo Alto has outstanding characteristics for the production of premium quality Cabernet Sauvignon. The cold nights and the long, mild autumn allow to obtain grapes with great structure, firm tannins and distinctive aromas of black fruits, cassis and spices. This Bordeaux style wine shows intense ruby red color, with some rustiness. Full-bodied, rich, and intense, it represents all the elegance and structure typical of the Maipo Alto Valley, with aromas of ripe black berries and cherries, fragrances of black pepper and menthol notes mixed with sweet vanilla, cinnamon and mocha. On the palate, it shows lots of personality and character with velvety tannins and firm structure, presenting warm notes of cooked berries, raisin and fig. The finish is persistent and pleasant. Pairs perfectly with red meats (veined loin, entrails, Angus), lamb, baked pork and exotic meats such as wild boar or ostrich. It is also recommended with spicy sauces and BBQ sauce. It goes well with appetizers such as serrano ham and strong cheeses (Gruyere, Edam and Brie). Can age well for another 8-10 years, making it even more exceptional.
