Description
The name derives from the French word Carillon which means “music box” and reminds of the olfactory and gustatory musicality – the symphony of aromas and flavors that are released when opening a fine bottle! It’s like a composition that starts when opening the bottle and slowly fades out when the wine is finished. Carillon is a more modern Brunello or Rosso di Montalcino, fresher and more fruity. Its acidity is a little higher, and it has a good balance between character, complexity, elegance, and finishing. The label is modern, full of beautiful colors, and represents all Italian best symbols such as the Italian flag, the eagle, and the Laurel Wreath. It wants to be an immediate reminder of the quality and excellence of “Made in Italy”.
An expressive and perfect dinner companion. Cherry comes through very clearly in this smooth and dry “Baby Brunello”. The ageing in wood lasts 12 months in new barrels of Slavonian oak. The ageing in the bottle lasts at least 6 months.
