The first impression: similar to the 2018 Riserva, Giovanni has once again fine-tuned the wood insert. Not necessarily less wood, but integrated a bit more elegantly than in the past. At the moment the INVERSUS is still quite closed on the nose with nuances of coconut, elder leaf, sweet cherries and dark tobacco. Very nice mouthfeel. First juicy, then lots of fruit: raspberries and blueberries one after the other. In the middle with melting and lactic notes. The finish is much more serious: salty, quite drying, not only because of the fine-grained tannins, but also because of the pronounced minerality.
