Description
A still red from Tuscany IGT, 14.5% ABV, produced by La Spinetta. Blend: 95% Sangiovese, 5% Colorino, 2008 vintage. A Sezzana that tells the story of a winery that has interpreted Sangiovese with passion and mastery. Aged in new medium-toasted French oak barrels for 12-14 months. After aging, the wine is transferred to stainless steel tanks for approximately 3 months and then bottled, followed by 3-4 months of bottle aging. Aromas of ripe berries, vanilla, and coffee blend into a very intense ruby red. Full-bodied, rich, and clean, with sweet tannins well-integrated with the oak, and a lingering finish.
