Description
The nose is fruity, slightly tight, racy, ripe and offers a slight richness as well as minerality. It reveals notes of fleshy cassis, fleshy black cherry and crushed strawberry combined with subtle touches of licorice, scrubland / thyme as well as subtle hints of tonka bean, liquorice and an imperceptible hint of vanilla / coffee (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers a small juiciness, a small fleshiness, freshness, a good structure, a beautiful maturity as well as an acid frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe cassis, ripe black / bigarreau cherry and crushed strawberry associated with slight touches of liquorice, a hint of scrubland, racy minerality, vanilla, caramelized oak as well as a discreet hint of tonka bean and an imperceptible hint of tea (in the background). Tannins are fine and supple.
