Description
Still red from Saint-Julien, Bordeaux, 13% ABV, produced by Chateau Gruaud Larose. Blend: 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc. 0.75L bottle, 2017 vintage. A wine that embodies the tradition of Bordeaux’s Grand Cru Classés, with a history dating back to 1855. Manual harvest and double sorting upon receipt of the harvest. Aged for 18-24 months in fine-grained French oak barriques (80% new, the remainder 1-2 years old). The complex nose reveals aromas of blackberry, accompanied by floral notes with hints of cedar wood. A deep, intense purple-red color. On the palate, the attack is bold, giving way to a satiny tannic structure with light notes of coffee and toast.
