Still white Grand Cru Classé from Pessac Léognan, Bordeaux, France, 13.5% ABV, produced by Chateau Malartic Lagraviere. Blend: 90% Sauvignon, 10% Semillon. 0.75L bottle, 2013 vintage. A wine that embodies the elegance and sophistication of Bordeaux’s great white wines, with a centuries-old history and a reputation for excellence. Hand-picked with two successive selections. Slow pressing, cold stabilization, and fermentation in barriques. Aged for 12 months on the lees with bâtonnage in traditional French oak barrels (55% new). Woody, toasted, and melted nose, with exotic notes (grapefruit, pineapple), and minerality. Intense color. Delicate palate, smooth texture, elegant structure, and superb aromatic balance.
