Description
Medium-bodied, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan. This wine has an amazing nose of blue flowers with earth notes and tea. The palate exhibits blackberries, black cherry, and garrigue. The finish is spicy, perfumed, and very long lasting. Pair with steak au poivre, grilled sausages, roast pork, and lentils. This blend of 30% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 20% Carignan, and 20% Mourvedre is made by Philippe & Emma Bordes on 22 organic acres in Saint-Chinian. The couple has no formal training, but they have all the resourcefulness and patience to make great wine. Les Narys is a blend of 6 parcels vinified separately using indigenous yeasts and steel for fermentation & aging. Domaine Bordes is one of fifteen certified organic wineries in Saint-Chinian, but as proponents of sustainability, the domaine applies Biodynamic practices as well.
