Description
The forward, accessible aroma has elements of plum, spice, and smoke. The texture is rich and surprisingly dense for the appellation, with a velvety feel that is very luxurious. On the finish, the tannin becomes evident. While this should drink reasonably early, it is a wine that will improve with cellaring. It is produced from more than a hectare of south-facing vines planted in clay soils with limestone scree from the combe d’Orange.
