A slightly smaller production release, the 2015 Crozes Hermitage La Chasseliere comes from the Les Chassis and Mercurol regions of Crozes, and was brought up in second and third-fill barrels. It’s another inky-colored beauty that has fabulous notes of crème de cassis, toasted spice, blackberries and caramelized meats. It shows a touch of violet notes with time in the glass, is medium to full-bodied, rich, beautifully concentrated and layered. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years.
Colour: dark red colour, with deep purple brilliance
Bouquet: highly aromatic and persistent
Palate: persistent on the palate, the wine reveals elegant tannins, with notes of red fruit.
