Description
Deeply colored to the point of nearly purple, this opens with aromas of French oak and leather. The palate is dominated by oak, featuring coconut, raw coffee bean and vanilla with just the barest hint of stewed prune. It lacks fruit richness to stand up to the oak. Assertive, raspy tannins leave an extremely astringent finish.
