Description
James Suckling Review
Rated 95
A classic, distinctive and compelling red. So leafy, floral and tea-like in aromas, then fresh, concentrated and generous on the palate, offering red cherries, sour cherries, black tea, bay leaves and blueberries backed by vibrant acidity and light tannins. Drink now or hold.
Wine Tasting Notes
The DuMol Wester Reach Pinot Noir showcases a diverse range of flavors sourced from different vineyards. The DuMOL Estate contributes dark fruit intensity, savory spice, and bright vibrancy. Dutton Ranch, located at a higher elevation, offers red and black fruit characters with beautiful purity. Occidental Road, situated on the Santa Rosa Plains, provides broad fruit extract and textural richness. Flax Estate, overlooking the river in the Middle Reach, adds volume, structure, and density from hillside volcanic soils. Lastly, Placida on the Laguna Ridge ripens late, offering impressive texture and lingering mossy complexity.
