Description
Elio Grasso Dolcetto d’Alba dei Grassi is a generous and light wine, fresh and suitable for everyday drinking when you never want to be banal. This
DOC Dolcetto d’Alba is produced in the
Langhe region from
Dolcetto vineyards, a red-skinned grape variety widely grown in the areas bordering
Piedmont. These vines are approximately 30 years old and are located 280 meters above sea level. The uniqueness of these vineyards owned by the
Grasso family lies in their expertise in tradition. Their decision to pursue a simple and humble approach to winemaking has led to the production of extremely simple wines yet with an intense and balanced character, winning the challenge compared to more elaborate wineries.
Elio Grasso, in creating
Elio Grasso Dolcetto d’Alba dei Grassi, set himself the goal of producing a wine that embodies all the flavors, culture, and traditions of the
Langhe, encapsulating the very identity of his small family-run winery in a single product. Connecting modern concepts to time-honored traditions is the heart of the company’s mission in the world of winemaking. The
Dolcetto d’Alba is harvested entirely by hand. The
alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in steel tanks with daily
pumping over. The wine is then left to age for several months until it is ready for bottling.
