Description
Winemaker Notes
A very well-balanced Chardonnay in terms of structure, texture, and flavors, it showcases notes of stone fruit, green apple, Meyer lemon, and blossom. A toasty, creamy oak influence is seamlessly integrated, adding weight and body accompanied by a lemony acidity on the palate, finishing with a clean aftertaste.
A classic shrimp scampi will be an option pairing for this wine.

My recent introduction to this Chardonnay and the excellent Pinot reviewed above puts this producer near the top of my current list of high-value overachievers. Made with organic grapes sourced from Yountville, this medium-bodied expression shows outstanding purity via flavors of orchard and citrus fruit. Only 50% of the juice was fermented in barrels and neutral oak was used, which was a wise choice to enhance the bright, lifted palate.
