Description
Lezèr means “light”, a name that is in fact the bestof the wine. This wine was born out of an unhappy vintage, where rain and cold weather made the grapes reach maturity with difficulty. That is why it was decided to do a lot of experimentation in the cellar, to use many different containers for vinification, to play with short macerations. From these experiments came the first Lezèr, a wine that impressed everyone with its ease of drinking that did not, however, conceal a certain underlying substance.
From that first vintage onwards it has always been made. Always in the same style: light ruby red colour, red fruits and an interesting note of violet on the nose. On the palate, smoke, freshly cut wood and a fine creaminess. An absolutely fresh red wine right through to the finish, which goes well with warm weather and simple Mediterranean cuisine, especially when slightly chilled. Ageing in different containers such as amphora, cement vats and wooden barrels gives it additional charm and an unmistakable profile.
