Description
Organic Barolo DOCG, 14.5% ABV, produced by Giacomo Borgogno e Figli, a historic Piedmontese winery founded in 1761. 100% Nebbiolo blend. 0.75L bottle, 2020 vintage. A Barolo that expresses the history and tradition of a unique terroir, with vinification following traditional production methods. Spontaneous fermentation without added yeasts for approximately 12 days at temperatures ranging from 22°C to 29°C, followed by submerged cap maceration for approximately 40–60 days at 29°C. The wine then ages in Slavonian oak barrels for 4 years, followed by 6 months of bottle aging. Ruby red with a garnet rim. The nose offers notes of small red fruits, currants, and raspberries, alongside distinct sensations of wild rose and blackberry blossom. Mediterranean scrub, oriental spices, and delicate grains of Himalayan salt create an original and unmistakable picture. The palate is fleshy and lively, with a pronounced savory flavor and elegant tannins that linger throughout the sip. Cohesive and persistent, it leaves a balsamic aftertaste.
