Description

Giacomo Borgogno Langhe No Name is a protest wine much loved by millennials, born with the initial idea of making a softer and more accessible
Barolo. The result of this experiment, however, surprised many, giving the wine its own unique identity, unique in depth and charm, born from the best
Nebbiolo vines of the Langhe. The concise name of this red is an invitation from
Oscar Farinetti to reflect on the excessive bureaucracy that plagues the world of wine and Italian agriculture. This
DOC Langhe Nebbiolo is born in
Piedmont, in the cellar of
Giacomo Borgogno e Figli. This name is closely linked to the history of Italy, as it was a
Barolo from this company that was served, in 1861, at the lunch celebrating the
Unification of Italy. Another of these bottles was uncorked by the
Savoy in honor of the visit of
Nicholas II Romanov, Tsar of all the Russias, on an official visit to Racconigi Castle. In 2008, the winery was acquired by the
Farinetti family, who, in addition to carrying out a major renovation of the main building, also supported and embraced the company’s tradition, continuing the path of innovation and excellence in Italian history. The
Giacomo Borgogno Langhe No Name is a wine suitable for any occasion, made from 100%
Nebbiolo grapes and
vinified in a completely traditional way. Steel tanks are used and the wine is then left to mature for approximately three years in large oak barrels.
