When Don Benigno Barbadillo died in 1837, Pedro Rodriguez married his widow, Dolores, and ran the company under his name. In 1863 with his son, Manuel Barbadillo, by his side, Pedro Rodriguez renames the business to Pedro Rodriguez e Hijos. Later in 1954, Manuel’s son, Antonio Barbadillo Ambrossy, inherits and establishes the firm with the Barbadillo name that it is now known by. Since then, the company has risen to become a producer of quality sherry, wine, and brandy, converting it into a major company at an international level. With Bodega Pirineos in the D.O. Somontano, Bodegas y Vinyedos Vega Real in the D.O. Ribera del Duero, and the Sierra de Sevilla company, producers of acorn-fed Iberian ham, Barbadillo boasts an unbeatable portfolio.
