Harvest Report 2015 was a very dry year in Alentejo. First rains arrived during the months of October, to December. The summer time was very dry but not so warm which had allowed to a long ripening. For the reds the wines show really deep color, great aromatic intensity and very balanced tannins and acidity. We can say that 2015 was a very good vintage in our region.Vinification Mechanical Harvested during the night. Total Destemming. Maceration before fermentation during 48h. Fermentation with controlled temperature 22C-28C in stainless steel vats. Maceration after fermentation between 5 and 10 days. Malolatic Fermentation in stainless still vats with oak staves.Tasting Notes Color Deep ruby hue with violet hints Aroma Complex aroma of red berries with balsamic and earthy notes Palate Remarkable freshness and an excellent structure and balance, with highquality tannins. It has a complex finish, showing great elegance and aromatic persistenceMatches with Full flavored and roasted red meats, game and pork.- Herdade Sao Miguel
