This has a compact core of juicy black currant and black cherry compote flavors, held in check by mouthwatering bay, chalk and savory notes for now. The long finish has mouthwatering cut and drive. When the fruit melds with the structure, this will be very solid indeed. Best from 2024 through 2035. 410 cases made, 100 cases imported.

Inky ruby. Powerful blueberry and black currant aromas are complicated by suggestions of candied flowers, olive and incense and a hint of dark chocolate in the background. Stains the palate with sweet black and blue fruit, spicecake and violet pastille flavors underscored by a vein of smoky minerality. Blends richness and energy with a deft hand and finishes impressively long and precise, with steadily building tannins adding shape and closing grip.

A deep ruby color. On the nose, intense and complex notes of dark berries, black cherry, baking spice, and violets. Rich and concentrated on the palate with plums, berries and distinct minerality.
