Description
A still white wine from South Africa, 13.5% ABV, produced by Jordan Wine Estate Stellenbosch. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. A Sauvignon Blanc that embodies the essence of the South African terroir, with a history rooted in over three centuries of viticulture. After destemming, the grapes were left on their skins for approximately six hours. After gentle pressing in a pneumatic “vat” press, the juice was cold-aged for two days before being racked and inoculated with selected yeasts. On the nose, aromas of blackcurrant leaves and ripe Cape figs are perceived, balanced by a complex fruit structure and sweet Provençal herbs on the finish.
