Description
Medium-bodied, the 2017 “Cottà” has aromas of violets, brambly raspberries, and red cherries that follow on the palate, where the fruit characters are laced with notes of tar, leather, and spice. The finish is tinged with cherries and lingers on the palate. Bright acidity and polished tannins give the wine structure without detracting from its silky texture. It opens up beautifully with a brief decanting but has the structure to age gracefully for 10-15 years.
