Mahoney Family Vineyards Pinot Noir Foster’s Reserve is a carefully crafted release made from Dijon clone 667 grown on the hilltops of Mahoney Ranch, combined with select Swan and Carneros Creek clones from Las Brisas Vineyard. Aged for 20 months in 50% new French oak barrels from Burgundian coopers Tremeaux and Rousseau, it offers an elegant, red-fruit profile with aromas of cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry, accented by subtle floral notes and warm spices. The palate is refined and expressive, featuring supple tannins, lively acidity, and lightly toasted oak that adds length and texture without overpowering the fruit. The finish is long, graceful, and well-balanced. Packaged in heavy glass and sealed with antique-gold wax, this reserve bottling pairs beautifully with roasted duck, herb-encrusted pork tenderloin, cedar-plank salmon, mushroom risotto, and soft, earthy cheeses, showcasing the wine’s finesse and depth.
