Description
A still red from Piedmont, 14.5% ABV, produced by Marcello Brunetti. 100% Syrah, 2021 vintage. A Langhe Rosso born from Marcello’s passion for traditional wines, a marriage between the Langhe region and this grape variety he loves. The harvest was done by hand on the morning of September 26, 2020. The grapes were lightly pressed the following day, gently by foot, leaving the bunches whole with their stalks. After two daily punch-downs without pumping over, the wine was dry-racked and, without the aid of pumps, entirely by gravity. It was then placed in an exhausted 225-liter barrique for aging. Without any further intervention, without the addition of oenological products or sulfites, without filtration or fining, the wine was gravity bottled on July 9, 2022. On the nose, intense fruity aromas of blackberry and plum combine with vegetal notes of olive and spicy notes of cloves and pepper. A very compact and dense purplish-red color. On the palate, it is intense, warm, and very soft, with sweet and smooth tannins. A wine of great persistence and structure.
