Description
Marchese Antinori Chianti Riserva is a still red wine with a Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin (DOCG). Produced only in the best years from
Sangiovese grapes (90%) and
Cabernet Franc grapes (10%), carefully selected both by bunch and by berry. A wine with a long tradition that is produced exclusively in the Tuscan
Chianti region. The
vines are trained using the Guyot, spurred cordon, and Tuscan arched training methods in
marly-arenaceous, calcareous, and not very clayey and sandy soils,
located at an altitude of no more than
700 meters. Thanks to a microclimate that allows the grapes to ripen slowly, thus determining the particular chemical and organoleptic characteristics of this special Tuscan wine, Marchese Antinori Chianti Riserva from the Antinori cellars takes shape from the grapes of the Tenuta Tignanello vineyards and is a quality wine product highly appreciated in Italy and abroad. To produce this wine, vinification and aging take place separately in Hungarian and French oak barriques. After being destemmed, the grapes are softly pressed and then transferred into stainless steel tanks. Here, the must undergoes a maceration process through gentle pumping over and déléstage, processes that maintain the sweetness of the tannins. Alcoholic fermentation, racking, transfer to barriques, and bottling follow. After bottling, the wine continues to mature in the bottle for a year.
