The 2019 Gelida Brut Gran Reserva Cava Made With Organic Grapes brings a slightly more serious profile of green apples, spice, and subtle brioche notes, and it has a clean, crisp, medium-bodied style that carries bright acidity yet rock-solid fruit and texture. I love its overall balance, and this is one hell of a classy Cava!

The 2019 Brut Gran Reserva Gelida is a blend of 50% Xarel·lo, 20% Macabeo, 15% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir from Penedès. Aged for 48 months on the lees, this bright yellow wine offers notes of lime and red apple peel with oxidative hints, all complemented by a pristine fruit layer. Dry, vibrant and saline, the mousse-like palate lingers with a chalky, ethereal texture. The 2019 is a well-crafted sparkling wine.
