”Wine ProfileProduction Notes The grapes for our 2013 Merlot were harvested between September 14Oct.11, 2013, with an average Brix of 24.8. After fermenting on the skins for 6-9 days, the must was pressed and the resulting wine finished fermentation in Stainless Steel tanks. The wine then received the equivalent of approximately 6 months of aging in French Oak barrels.Winemaker Notes Our 2013 McManis Family Vineyards Merlot has bright purple hues highlighted with meium ruby color. Ripe Blackberry aromas are surrounded by a bouquet of cream and a hint of baking spices. Our 2013 Merlot, as with previous vintages, is juicy and concentrated with a mix of black fruit flavors and a vanilla creamy texture – contributed through oak aging.
