In our exploration of the North Coast wine region, we found the sandy loam soils of the Russian River AVA to offer the best Pinots with balanced, natural acidity and richness on the palate. Our 2018 Outerbound Pinot Noir opens with layered aromas of ripe raspberry, pomegranate and blackberry fruits on the nose, with flavors of vanilla bean and Herbes-de-Provence carried through the wine’s sleek tannic finish. Marcucci One of the oldest Pinot Noir vineyards in the Russian River Valley, the Marcucci vineyard solely grows clone 115 on an eastern facing slope. The ranch is made up of two distinct blocks which yields around two tons per acre on the upper block, with the lower producing almost double the yield of its counterpart. The Pinot Noir fruit produced at Marcucci vineyard grow in small, concentrated clusters, packing a powerful punch with a unique structure and texture in the glass. Hicks Situated on the western slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, Hicks’ intriguing terrain is just a stone throw away from Mark West Creek. This postage stamp 1.75 acre cane pruned vineyard has a gentle slope to the northeast and experiences prevalent temperature shifts from a heavy maritime influence. This vineyard is harvested in the middle of night with grower Kris Hicks overseeing the pick himself.
