Description
Orma Orma Toscana is an elegant and sumptuous wine, whose flavor embodies the very essence of the
Bolgheri region. This
IGT Toscano is strong and delicate, as intense as the Maremma landscapes.
Its exuberant character is due to the extraordinary position of the vineyard from which it is born: a clayey and pebbly soil, with little sand and rich in sun and a mild climate that give the grapes an excellent flavor. It is the only wine produced by the
Podere Orma winery, a limited edition of about a thousand bottles that has deservedly placed itself among the best Tuscan wines.
Antonio Moretti Cuseri, a well-known Tuscan entrepreneur and wine lover, chose this wonderful territory in the province of Livorno to venture into the use of
innovative grapes for the area, such as
Cabernet Sauvignon and
Merlot, and he succeeded. The property is small (just 7 hectares with 5 vineyards), and the wine is produced from 50%
Merlot, 30%
Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20%
Cabernet Franc grape varieties. The
vinification process takes about 15-18 days. It is then left to
age in French oak barriques for no less than 15-18 months before being
bottled and left to rest for about a year. This long period of
aging gives
Orma Orma Toscana its distinctive enveloping and soft yet equally dynamic and tenacious tone, a true trademark of the group of wineries to which it belongs.
