The Paitin 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo Starda has a lot of cherry, cherry cola and cherry candy. It’s monotone for sure, but the brightness of the fruit goes a long way to give vertical lift and punchiness to the aromas. The effect is simple, but I personally prefer the brightness of this wine to the dry or overripe tones you find in many of the Langhe Nebbiolos from the hot 2022 vintage.
