Among the most refined and interesting Sauv Blancs I’ve tasted out of California all year, this was clearly based on superb grapes, as 40% new French oak barely registers as a distinct element. The wine shows expressive notes of white melon, ripe apple, and orchard fruit, with just a touch of appealing raw-almond bitterness on the finish.

The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc is lightly hued, with a bright, juicy, medium-bodied style as well as some sappy herbs and citrus-driven fruits. It’s nicely balanced and clean, with bright acidity and a great finish.
