Description
Still red from Australia, 14.5% ABV, produced by Penfolds. Blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Shiraz. 0.75L bottle, 2022 vintage. Bin 389 is one of Australia’s great red wines. First produced in 1960, its history is linked to the development of Grange and Max Schubert’s ambition to create a “dynasty of wines that all bear an unmistakable resemblance to one another.” Aged for 12 months in American oak barrels (37% new). Bright garnet red. Aromas of red fruits complemented by notes of soy, sesame, and dried shiitake mushrooms. Flavorful with an earthy finish of licorice root and aniseed. A wine that pairs perfectly with grilled red meats and mature cheeses.
