Description
A still red wine from Tuscany IGT, 14.5% ABV, produced by Petra. Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc. 0.75 L bottle, 2022 vintage. A wine that embodies the essence of the Maremma, born from the passion of Francesca and Vittorio Moretti, in a 350-hectare natural oasis in Val di Cornia. The grapes come from the company’s most suitable vineyards, near the Petra winery. The long maturation in French oak barrels, the intriguing structure, and the unique terroir make this wine one of the finest expressions of the Suvereto area. A brilliant ruby red color. The nose is full-bodied and intense, with aromas reminiscent of red fruits, wild blackberry, cherry, and currant. These aromas are pleasantly complemented by balsamic notes reminiscent of Mediterranean scrub, bay leaves, and spicy notes of pepper and incense with hints of vanilla, creating a bouquet of great complexity and finesse. On the palate, it is powerful and voluminous, pleasantly fresh, with a rich and silky tannin structure.
