A luminescent ruby color introduces a nose filled with red cherry, ripe raspberry, classic white pepper, and hints of peach yogurt and rose petal. Flavors center on red and blue fruits, intricately laced alongside refreshing, balanced acidity. It has density and layers of texture, but is not at all heavy. Overall, both a masculine and feminine expression that sits lightly on the palate with fines herbes, blueberry, cherry, and the faintest kiss of oak. 2020 will not be a vintage soon forgotten. What was an exceptional vintage by almost any measure became a challenge when wildfires came to the county in late August. While, like many Sonoma County wineries, we lost a portion of our fruit, what we retained and bottled is simply fantastic. Rigorous lab testing and tasting ensures these will be wines that continue to reward for many years to come with good cellaring. 87% Zinfandel, 5% Petite Sirah, 5% Grenache, 2% Cabernet, 1% Syrah.
