This wine is named “Old Benson” in memory of, and as a tribute to the loyalty and devotion of Man’s Best Friend. From 1979 to 1994 Rosemount’s Sandy Oatley was accompanied by his vineyard and winery rounds by his faithful dog, Benson. Together they witnessed fifteen years of the most remarkable vintages in Rosemount’s history. This traditional Australian Tawny Port is drawn and selected from reserves and blended to an average age of ten years. If offers a rich textured palate and full, smooth finish, assured to bring satisfaction to all who appreciate fine aged Tawny Port at the end of a meal or to round off the day.
