Description

Serafini e Vidotto Rosso d’Abbazia is a still red wine,
Veneto DOC. The
vineyards are located in the northern area of the city of Treviso, in the Montello and Colli Asolani areas. The wine is born from the love and passion for viticulture of two farmers and winemakers, Francesco Serafini and Antonello Vidotto, who founded their winery in 1986; since then, nature and technology have magically collaborated to create decidedly intriguing wines. The
vineyards, located in flat areas about 100/150 meters above sea level, grow on well-drained and fertile soils, blessed with a mild climate characterized by abundant rainfall.
Serafini e Vidotto Rosso d’Abbazia is born from a blend of different grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The
harvest, carried out between late September and early October, is done using the traditional hand-picking method, which involves careful selection of the finest bunches of grapes. The
fermentation process takes place in large stainless steel or split oak barrels and is left to age for thirty months. The wine is then aged for approximately 15-24 months, although this may vary depending on the ripeness of the grapes and the vintage. After bottling, the wine ages in glass bottles for 1-2 years.
