”Dedicated to working in harmony with nature to produce remarkable artisan wines, Newton Vineyard transforms fruit of uncompromised quality into wines of distinctive character.Vineyard The fruit used to make our Red Label wines is sourced from select vineyards throughout Napa Valley, from Yountville to Spring Mountain. Every year, we select grapes with a specific characteristic that will allow us to achieve the desired flavor profile of the final blend and create continuity vintage to vintage.Vintage Conditions 2013 was a perfect vintage with long warm days and a dry growing season. We were able to sit back and wait as the grapes ripened on the vine and developed complex flavors. The wines have developed the opulence and balanced acidity during the aging process that will allow them to age gracefully.Vinification We begin our winemaking work in our vineyards, cultivating the vines using sustainable farming techniques and following natures lead as the growing season unfolds. Once in the winery, we use a cold soak method to provide complexity in the finished wine. After aging the wine for 14 months in French oak barrels, we masterfully create a blend with balance.Tasting Notes Blackberry, cassis, and juniper aromas mingle with notes of cocoa, vanilla and baking spices. Big rich cherry, blueberry, mixed berry pie and bittersweet chocolate flavors dominate the palate.Food Pairing Margherita to spicy pepperoni pizzas, grilled burgers with blue cheese and caramelized onions and roasted pork with mole sauce are just a few of the flavor-packed dishes that pair well with this fresh, fruity Cabernet Sauvignon.Serving and Cellaring Easy to enjoy now and will still be delicious in four years.”- Newton
